Hello everyone! I just acquired a male and female desert kingsnakes and the where eating live pinkies and cull corns. I was just wondering how to switch them over to F/T. Also my Brooksi female strike but doesn't stick and eat but she is transferred over to F/T any suggestion on that? Thanks for the help everyone!

One of my baby pyros needed her scented live pink lanced to smell blood. Of course this was fatal to the pink. She ate it even though it was now dead. So if you took a ft pink and dipped it in scent and maybe lanced it, your snakes might not care if it is already dead.

If they have been feeding on live simply take a couple f/t and put them in the same container with a couple live ones for a few minutes. Even better, feed the live then throw in the f/t.

Offer them F/T. That is it. They will likely take it. If not, wait a few more days, try again.

Getula, when hungry, eat just about anything with rodent smell. They aren't that picky. At least not after getting hungry for awhile. Certain times a year they may be more picky, but that usually means they have enough weight where they can afford to be picky.
