Leopard litter

kblumenthal Oct 13, 2010 07:38 AM

I figured my Leopard female was going to drop them Monday night during the rain & hail storm we were having here in the NJ/NY area, and sure enough she did. I was able to witness the whole litter being born which is always cool! She was bred by a Leopard male and ended up having 6 Leos, 6 slugs, and unfortunately 6 stillborns. The slugs and the stills really sucked, but she is doing good after the ordeal which is really the important part. Enjoy the pics!

Mike, I forgot to add that I have been using the corrugated cardboard for about 5 years now and I love it! I think it gives the boas a more muscular body as they have something to grip on to as they crawl around in their cages. It also absorbs urates well and is easy to cleanup. I cut it into 3-4 sections for each cage so that I don't have to waste an entire cage length of paper if they soil it.

Congrats on the litter. It's nice to see other people interested in Leopards. I finally picked one up this year and hope to breed some myself sometime in the future.

Congrats Kevin

That litter is really something else , almost looked like a pile of eels or something at first, almost fishlike patterns.
