Minnie x Dumbo

Looks like I saved a good one for near the end, one more to go.

Yesterday when I got home from work I could see Minnie was skinny but did not see any babies. Pulled her moss box and on opening it looks kinda normal....

Pulled back the top layer of moss and found the babies, they must have just been born as none were out of their sacks....

Put the moss box back together and back in the cage (mom in a holding tub) and let the babies come out on their own. Checked on em about every 10-15 minutes and collected them as they appeared. Total was 16, no slugs, 7 Hypo and 9 hets....

Will have to re-check but all 7 hypos sexed out as females? odd and the hets were 6.9

Nice looking litter! Would be cool if all those Hypos were females.

I am hoping for a litter like that next year, as my het female is finally big enough.

Yeah, was surprising and head scratching as I pulled one female after another from the hypo group. Then I did the hets and found males right away. Overall I'm basically dead even for the year at 97.98 baby BRB's

Maybe but I don't count em till they're on the ground. The last female (Wendy) is not one of my "obviously gravid" ones. She does look gravid, does have fetal heart tones and she is past her due date so all good signs, will have to wait and see.

Wendy 3 weeks ago.....
