Lavender Albino male

Emberball Oct 13, 2010 05:51 PM

This is a new pick up, and a new morph to me, that I honestly do not know much about. I think his color is pretty amazing. Any opinions from the Lavender Experts?

I'm not a lavender expert, but thats a very nice looking animal! Good pickup, Dave! Congrats!
That's on my "Gotta Have" morph list.

are you sure that's a lavender albino? I don't know much about lavender albinos but that looks very similar to my albino male that I bought a month ago... if I can figure out how to attach a picture I will... just give me a few minutes...

If you look at the first photo it has a very distinct pop to the orange color. It is still young and yet to develop all its lavender colors, but the lavender color isnt the only thing that dictates whether it is a lavender or not. They are highly variable some have more lavender some have almost none. Also the eye color in a lavender is a much deeper ruby color. Lavenders orange is bordered by pumpkin. Lots of subtle differences, but if you look at the pic it looks different then yours. While yours is beautiful none the less I would say you have a normal albino. The price is extremely different between the two also so unless you payed $3000 then that is a pretty good indication.

I didn't think it was a lavender especially because I didn't pay that much. I didn't know much about lavenders so thank you for telling me the differences. The only thing that I could really see that was different was the really neat outlining

Thanks again!
