Liesen line TRICK PATTERN proves genetic

snakeman Oct 13, 2010 06:03 PM

My Black Pastel male was an import animal. His offspring when bred to a normal female contains NO normal looking babies. I get these TRICK pattern (for lack of a better term) babies.
I started keeping the TRICK pattern as holdbacks since 2007.
This last season a TRICK male was big enough to breed and he hit a NORMAL female and the pictured baby was a result along with NORMAL siblings.
With NO Black Pastels in the clutch I now know that the TRICK pattern reproduces itself.
Excited about this upcoming season trying to prove out a SUPER from my TRICK females to my TRICK male.
Thanks for reading my story

My question is how about the original males black pastel offspring do they also produce the "trick patterned" normals? Very cool project I have been watching for a while Congrats and good luck on the super!!
