These are my rubber boas. Speaking of brumation, these stopped eating in early September. I am about to move them to the garage for the winter.

And this is my favorite of this years corn snakes. He is hypo, het for stripe and lavender.

Nice looking Corn! I really like the rubber boas too! Have you been able to breed them yet?

That is the lightest of my hypo hatchling corns. That pic is not quite right, as he is more red than that.

I have not bred rubber boas yet. This is my first time owning them. I got these in June. I found the female when a friend took me out herping in Oregon. The male was one he had found a month earlier.

The female is borderline for being big enough to breed next spring. I will feed her as much as she will eat after I warm her up next March or April, and see what happens. The male should be good to go, although I am a little concerned about his weight. He didn't eat well for me this summer (not uncommon), and lost about 10 grams from when I got him. I hope he makes it through the winter ok.

Gophers are great snakes. I have seen and caught many in the bay area and east bay hills but not as nice as those.I would imagine those are captive bred?

pyromaniac Oct 14, 2010 10:06 PM

Yes, they are captive bred.

Another one of my cb Pacifics, Gonzo, this June. She is much bigger now, as the only time she skips a meal is when she is heavily into blue. (The cat is Petey, checking her out.)
