Repashy Veggie Dust

Anyone use this stuff before?

Link:
http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/reptile-supplies/canned-food-and-diets/iguana-dry-and-canned-foods/-/repashy-veggie-dust-32-ounces/

table spoon per 1 pound of greens, "says" does not require any other supplement.

Ingredients:
HempSeed Meal, Alfalfa Meal, Fig Powder, Honey Powder, Defatted Wheat Germ Meal, Bee Pollen, Brewers Yeast, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Caseinate (source of Isolated Protein) Spirulina Algae, Dicalcium Phosphate, Haemotococcus Algae, Marigold Extract, RoseHips Powder, Rosemary Extract, Yucca Extract, Natural Mixed Tocopherols (as a preservative),Vitamin A acetate, D-Activated Animal Sterol (Source of Vitamin D-3) ,Dried Aspergillus Oryzae Fermentation Extract, Dried Aspergillus Niger Fermentation Extract, Dried Lactobacillus Fermentation Product, Dried Bifidobacterium Thermophilum Fermentation Product, Dried Bifidobacterium Longum Fermentation Product, Dried Enterococcus Faecium Fermentation Product and Dried Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Product

Also, does it throw off the balance of the meals if you add a pinch of the small pellet food in with the mixture of greens? I use the tiny pellets as sort of a cruton because they are so small they stick to the wet greens and he gets both the greens and tiny pellets at the same time.

The veggie dust seems like it is really good as far as an all around dust, but I am not sure about the calcium, calcium max is 5.5%, Phosphorus 1%

That's just to make up for the phosphorous in the veggies, so it is roughly around 2 to 1 ratio. It's not the amount of calcium and phosphorous that are present in the food that is important; it's the ratio. If the ratio are 2:1 or 1, 1.5:1, the body can self regulate and excrete the excess. IF the ratio is wrong, you will have a problem. Like I said you can have almost any amount of calcium and phosphorous you want. If the ratio is correct, it's not going to harm the animals. The ratio is the thing you have to watch out for, not the amount. The ideal ratio is 2:1, but 1, 1.5:1 will work, also. Hope this helps! It's very hard to create that in the captive diet, that's why you should supplement with both calcium and multivitamin. The Veggie Dust just makes it easier.

So I should be good just using the repashy powder only? I think thats what you are getting at, haha.

Yes! If you use it, you don't need to use anything else....

It's made more like milk shake supplement or some kind of complete and balanced food, so all the vitamins and minerals work together to rid the body of excess. It's just like dogs can't overdose on dog food if they eat half the bag because it's nutritionally balanced.
