2012 Mex Mex Breeders....

Jlassiter Oct 14, 2010 08:51 PM

There's a little bit of everything in these 2009 Mex Mex.....

Some carry the Black Phase gene
Some carry the Hypoerythristic gene
Some carry the Black and Granite genes
Some carry the Granite Gene
Some carry the Striped Nuchal "gene"

These are the ones that did not make it up to breeding size of 2011.....I do have some 2009s that did though......

It's going to be fun to watch what hatches from these in 2012.......

Stunning batch of Mex Mex! They look to be the inspiration for Navajo blanket patterns. The ones with the nuchal stripes are most interesting!

I have also always thought of Indian pottery and blankets when looking at mex mex. I love the geometric patterns and earthy colors.

They are all real beauties, I especially like the one at the top with the heavy black borders and the lighter gray one on the left with the stripe is a real stunner. It will be interesting to see what comes of these.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Big T,
Next year we will be making some more mixed genes (multi "hets" then in 2012 the first ones with multiple genes will be paired up......

My hopes is for a black phase with pink/salmon saddles one day......Or an Ultra Granite Black phase with pink/salmon speckles.......This may take a while though....LOL
