Are southerns as tricky as easterns to get feeding on mice? Do they have the same tendency to die young if fed on a rodent-only diet?

Carl, I have not kept easterns in my collection as long as southerns but in my experience with cb and wc, southerns are easier. They are all individuals of course.
I have had cb southerns on pinks from day one and have never seen an amphibian. My oldest cb female that laid another good clutch this year is 13.
I have never had an eastern that long but not because they died but because I gave or traded them to someone else.
