An interesting link.

One thing that I am wondering about, though:
Montane species should be brumated at temperatures around 2 °C / 35 °F.

At that low of a temperature I could just put my pyros in the refrigerator! LOL!

Many people do put them in refrigerators.....As long as they have oxygen to breath they will do fine.......

Here in South Texas we cannot rely on the weather to brumate our snakes like many of the breeders on this forum do.....I have an insulated brumation chamber with its own window unit......Works fine....just like a fridge....

BTW....I have read that link many times.... good information there.....

Heh! My partner has a hard enough time with the frozen mice in the freezer. Snakes in the fridge might just send him over the edge...LOL!

Seriously, if the montanes can actually take such low brumation temps I could just put them out in the mouse barn where the temps in the winter average around the mid 40s to mid 50s F. The mice like it cool, and breed well all winter.

My wife gave me the blender once when she caught me making lizard pure.......But I got away with it numerous times prior to that time.......LOL
