I am afraid to say that I can't even tell what is mixed with that.
It looks like a thayeri, if there is anything in there it's got to be Ruthveni.........

The reason I am "afraid" to say that is because folks are mixing these Mexicana and trying to pass them off as pure......

I know you aren't Jorge....You know what is what and keep good records.....

But....We must keep these lines pure since we cannot hop on down to Mexico and bring any more back........

If folks want to mix and match species do it with readily available ones like Getula, Guttata and Pituophis....

Enough rant....LOL
Great looking little snake whatever it is Jorge.....

Yeah it's a Ruthie cross. Well the mam is pure Thayeri as far I know, but the dad is a Thayeri X Ruthven. I got them way before I started visiting this site and I probably will find a Pure male to replace the one i have now. I only got 3 babies this year. I hear you guys clapping.... Honestly though since we are on the subject. I have always said that someone interested in buying a pure Thayeri will seek out established breeders of that breed, so they wouldn't even give mine a quick look. My point is there will always be pure lines to buy from. Just like there are many breeders of pure bred dogs. Well that's an Oxymoron, but you know what I mean.

It's kinda neat how you can mix a thayeri with a ruthveni and get an offspring that looks like a Greeri.....

I've seen Ruthveni X Mex Mex that look like Thayeri as well.....

Just small examples of genetic drift from the south to the north....

I like greens. The color is hard to catch though.

Thanks. I have a male coming up that looks just like her. Interesting thing is that both started out very yellow.

Yep...You know as well as I do.....
The yellow ones are notorious for turning gray or green......
It is hard to find a nice yellow adult thayeri......
Ontogenesis at work.......

She is very nice.....I would love to see what you get from her and the similar male.....
