building a rack.

scottelagrange Oct 16, 2010 10:11 AM

I'm getting ready to move into a new place and I want to build a rack to start collecting. I have a couple of pastels and a couple of licorice rats.. They are both in terrariums. I realize i can not fill a room with these. so I want to build a rack.

I guess my question is, what is a suitable height to house balls. I know my pastels love to climb all over there tank.

thanks

I recently got finished building a rack.

It was a lot more time consuming than I originally anticipated.

But the outcome was worthit.

I have all my adults in large 41 QT Sterlite Tubs, and I have my hatchings-Small Adults in 28 QT Sterlite Tubs.

ive built a ton racks from babies to adults. i love the 41q tubs cause there almost the same thing as a vision tub but almost half the cost. as far as what to build it out of i have used peg board, plywood, mdf, and melamine. if you use anything other then melamine then you will have to seal it with a water base sealer. good luck with your build
