Holdback Sunglow Argentine

NUCCIZ_BOAS Oct 16, 2010 04:58 PM

This is a female I produced back in May, she was the product of an argentine het albino produced by me back in 2006, to a Chris Nicholas salmontine het albino.

I love the way her pattern came out! She doesn't look like any of the other babies, and she is super bright orange/red.

My favorite part yet.... LOOK AT HER EYES!!!!! Solid white! Spooky looking!

I love Argentines and this one is no exception! Nice color and pattern, but I agree with you, those eyes are wicked! You've made me seriously consider steering a couple of my projects in that direction.

I'm still not sure if it's weird that my best friend is a two year old boa named Ronin. He's quiet, non-judgemental and listens... what more could you want?

Gorgeous! Her colors are insane. Please post some progression photos as she grows, I'd love to see some. Congrats!

Great looking snake. I have seen albinos het for anery that have snow-like eyes like your great looking boa. I actually think that can be helpful in albino and het for albino possible het for anery animals.

but I said the same thing! I also questioned whether or not there was jungle in the blood somewhere because of her goofy pattern. It would be arguable if it was just her that turned out like this, but almost half the litter in the salmontines had "jungley" looking patterns.

Even worse yet, the same male bred a different female last year and produced very similar results, I questioned whether or not there was Jungle in the genes after that first litter, then ESPECIALLY after seeing this litter.

I have spoken with Chris about it, he said there is no jungle in the genes at all.

I may have to experiment down the line when she is breedable and play with some jungle genes into her, just to see what pops out
