Pine Snake Longevity?

LaurieCrabb Oct 20, 2010 01:16 PM

Hey folks,

Can anyone tell me what the average lifespan is for a black pine snake? I have one that is 16 years old, and it seems that he has been slowing down this last year. He has no discernible health issues, so I am wondering if it is age related.

From all the reading I have done that average is about 15 years maybe a little more. Although some in captivity can live well beyond that.

Congrats your old boy definintely has earned his senior citizens card.
