I know it wasn't smart of me to buy him, because he was noticeably malnourished and much skinnier than all the other leos at the table. Plus, the breeder didn't seem the honest type, and I didn't like buying from a guy like him. Yeah, yeah.. but I just saw so much potential for Caesar. I'm already really attached to his personality. He comes out and looks up at whoever's looking in at him.
He's eaten 40 mealies in the four days that I've had him. I'll probably feed him just a few more in a sec, because he only ate 5 today before turning around to go back into his hide.
He has better aim than even some of the adults I have. He's also starting to get a little meat in his middle, so it doesn't look like weight gain will be a problem. Still, I'm not going to be able to relax until I see his tail plump up, even just a little bit.
I'm cutting out of work early to bring him to the vet tomorrow, because I want to make sure why he was skinny in the first place didn't have anything to do with parasites. From his appetite, you'd think he'd have more mass to him, but it doesn't make sense that the breeder would single him out for neglect. He admitted that Caesar was so dark, because he didn't bother to keep the temps up. And yet he spoiled his other albinos with waxies.
Anyway, Caesar's in quarantine in a different room on a different floor of the house. I've got his stool sample ready. He pooped on the humid hide lid, so I just traded it with a new lid.
Wish me luck everybody.
