New to forum, Crested gecko help..

mike7934 Sep 25, 2003 11:52 PM

Hi, i'm mike. I'm new to this forum, and i wanted to get two crested geckos. I have a 20 gallon high tank and was wondering if this would be a good size to keep two crested geckos in. Plus lighting, and if they need live plants. Thanks.

Mike.

Welcome to the forum. A 20 high would be perfect for 2, as long as they aren't both male.

You really don't need live plants, although they are pretty cool. I don't really have a green thumb, so I stick to silk/plastic. Cork bark and other cool climbing deals make it nice too.

As far as lighting goes - the only thing you don't want is too much heat. If you have plants, maybe UVB would be cool.

You'll have to take a picture and show us your set up. Good luck!!!
