Yellow leaf, and fall neonates.

terryd Oct 24, 2010 09:59 AM

Thought I'd put up a few more 2010 neonates, and maybe a few adults peppered in too.

Marion co. L. t. syspila. I've been very happy w/ this clutch of Reds as they're all taking pink heads on their own already.

2010 Cherry county multistrata.

A couple of Cherry co. young adults.

Beautiful, and oh-so-artsy.

what I was thinking... probably wouldn't have gone with artsy... but yeah, very cool idea for a background to show those beauties on.

Boy, a couple of big Cottonwood leaves did do a nice job for a back drop.

Amazon,
I'm not sure I'm comfortable w/ artsy. And this might be more of what you'er looking for.

amazondoc Oct 24, 2010 09:10 PM

Don't worry, I liked the photos quite a lot! I just meant "artistic and well-executed" -- nothing bad!

Oh I took it as a complement. But I have to admit when I hear the word artsy I think of men in paisley head bands and purple boas.

Thanks again, and glad you liked the milks.

Embrace your inner artiste. No feather boas required!

Great photography; exceptional subjects. Also, I just stumbled across "Montana Pale milk snakes" on the field herping forum--added a little adventure (vicariously) to a Sunday morning.

Sure love those Marion Co. Reds!

I've taken baby step after baby step w/ my lack of skill behind the lens, and now I'm starting to see a few small rewards.
I still remember see a number of your photos from your snake room years ago, and being blown away by your clear clean photos. I think I even asked you in a PM how you got such nice shots. So it's nice to have you complement my photos. Thanks.

LOL!,..yeah, I remember you saying something like...."wow!, the aspen shavings are practically falling off the photo onto my keyboard"

Anyway, yeah, I have noticed you are taking some really nice shots lately man!, and credit goes where credit is due in mu book!.

And yet ANOTHER nice shot of the trout down iside the net!,....that gives a very cool photo affect along with the complimenting frame colors you chose too man!

Ahh yes, you are doing quite well "Grasshopper"!

They are all great, but I especially like the first Cherry Co. yearling. Nice shots! The leaves make me wish I were back home in Tennessee right now.

Thanks Dennis,
Fall is always a good time for a little color to find it's way into a photo.

The little Pale milk neonate you liked should grow up to look something close to this fine adult specimen.

Uh-oh.
Dells cranking out killer stuff now. I'll have to go back to pimping....groan.....

Let there be triangulum and lo, the milkhead was born.

terryd Oct 24, 2010 09:33 PM

Hey old man pimping, don't work to hard.

And I still think you need more flowers in your snake photos.

Amazing stuff Dell! I love those syspila - great lookers and nice photos. Also digging those pales, especially your holdbacks. You've set the bar for photographic skills for sure!

I don't know about setting any high bars for photos, it really is serendipitous luck for me, the damn camera is way smarter then I am. But thanks again.

Jesus, dude... What a show! I was going to call and see what you were up to, but apparently we don't need to have that conversation, anymore.

Smoke-out tomorrow or Tuesday?

By the way, I'll take that clutch of pales if you want. Maybe a pair of those syspila, too. Seriously stunning animals.
