Kingsnake seems over-active? Frantic?

cent Oct 25, 2010 03:34 PM

My 2 yr old Albino Ruthveni has been tearing her cage apart for the past week. She's been all over the place, digging, uprooting things, knocking stuff over.

She's been out all day, whereas I normally only see her a couple of times a week during daylight hours. It seems as if she's trying to dig or break out of the enclosure. Her nose seems a bit dirty/scratched from all the activity.

When I hold her, she seems defensive and stiffens up and tries to escape.

Any ideas? She's always been alone, eating just fine, no environmental changes...

Cage to small--Maybe mites---- to hot for her. Try a large water dish for her to soak in.
