Anyone need free roaches?

masterplan Sep 26, 2003 01:11 AM

I have a bunch of roaches (orange head and then some "regular" smaller ones) that my chams just won't touch so I figure to send them off to someone who wants them.

I would say that I have 15 full-grown orange heads, about 20 of the "regular sized" ones, and they had a bunch of babies, so this is the beginning of a small colony.

All I ask is that you pick-up the tab for shipping or if you feel like it, I could always some green horned worms as my two chams just love those.

Do you want to get rid of them all in one shot or can I be selective? I have no idea if Luna will eat them so I don't want a zillion. My other herps might eat some. how big are the full grown and the "regular" ones?

thanks,
lele

If you still have any roaches, I would love some. I have a veiled that will eat about anything and if he doesnt want them, I have another lizard that would eat ANYTHING. I alwas wanted to try roaches, so This seems llike an oportune time to do so. Just send me a message to work out the details. If you already sent them all out, just send me a message saying that.

Hey there,

I'd like some (or all) of your orange heads, just let me know how we can arrange it. I live in Vermont, so there are no restrictions. How would you ship them?

You can e-mail me at julie@naturalwebs.com.

Thanks!
Julie

Hi Julie, where in VT are you? Just curious -I'm in NH and it seems that there are NO New Englanders on this forum.

Hi Lele,

Wow, a fellow New Englander!! I know how you feel about feeling like you're the only one... We're in Montpelier... right in the Capital! Where in NH are you?

yeah, and I think we are IT! I live in Strafford which is in the SE - not on the coast but about 30 min NW, not far from Maine border. We are almost as far as we could get from one another! Have you experienced loss of electricity in the winter since having herps? I haven't and I am sure at SOME point we will lose it and not sure what to do. I live in a 275 y.o. house so it get colf FAST!

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the delayed response. I was working on sending the roaches to one of the forum members in North Carolina, but he disappeared.

So the offer is still good. I checked and the shipping will cost a little over $11 to get to them to the east coast via Airborne Express (overnight service). I need to send them soon, so I can get them out Monday and your little buggy-eyed guys will be eating on Tuesday.

If you want them, send me an e-mail to: [thehibs@usa.com]. I also take PayPal at the same address. First e-mail gets the lot.

Or, If you just want a few to try them out, shipping will be about the same (they don't weigh much, even with the container. It's the overnigfht service that determines the price).

The Big ones are the size of Half Dollars. The regular ones are about the size of large almonds.

(to the moderator: This is NOT an offer to sell the roaches. This is simply me sending roaches that my chams won't eat to people who want them. Thanks!)
