I like the pictures. I am a little puzzled. What kind of snakes are those that are in the pictures?

Lovin2act Oct 26, 2010 01:01 PM

The black one is my female Black Milk Snake and the white is a Leucistic Southern Pine. I didn't want to double post this into the pit forum as well though. I have more posts in this milk snake area so I went with this one.

Nice photos...and your lady took right to the snakes!

My Fiancé took weeks before she would go near my snakes...now she has two of her own (Hogs).

Congrats!

Yeah, it is amazing Rusty how people can react to snakes if it is done the right way with the right snake(s).

Man, I will NEVER forget a snake introduction that went very wrong one night..LOL!

Back in the mid 80's, I had been dating this girl for a good while, and we went out for a fun night of drinking, etc...

So when we got back to my house, she noticed the big walk-in cage in my Florida room that housed a newly acquired 5 foot colombian Boa an electrition gave me not too long before this night. It was "fairly" decent about being held most of the time I had it, but I never really fully trusted it a whole lot by the head movements it made sometimes. I can't rembember now if it ever struck at me or not, but I seem to recall it had before. Anyway, when we got home from the nightclub, she wanted to hold it for a bit. So I reached into the cage and got her out, told her to put both of her arms out so the snake would be fully supported, and things seemed cool for the moment. Well, shortly after she took it, the Boa proceeded to grab her forearm and start chewing back and forth on her!!. So she looks down and told me to take it and that it is biting her..LOL!

Man, I swear I could not believe how well she took that big knarly boa bite man!....She was bleeding BIG-TIME from her arm, and that would have been enough to make most non-snake people absolutely FLIP OUT the hell out!!.

So I washed it off real good for her in the sink, and got the bleeding to stop after a bit, but man!...she took that big bite like a freakin true trooper man!...she blew it off like it was no big deal, which to the average person off the street, that would have sent screams of pure bloody murder ringing out of the apartment..LOL!

I guess the entire night of drinking might have helped some, but still!..

Yeah, it is funny, after all that drama with the Boa, everything went just as planned the rest of the night!!

LOL!!

On the news tonight, we had a story about a ball python that dropped out of the ceiling tiles in somebody's apartment. The PREVIOUS renters had lost it before they moved out.

The guy who picked it up was bragging about what a manly man he was for being willing to pick the snake up.

I was just laughing -- a BALL PYTHON?? LOL.

Yeah, it takes a real bad-ass of the "special forces" certified lethal killer to pick up a Ball python.

This dude is also preparing to place a small Ball python in a very special explosive/bite proof HAZMAT container. And if need be, is fully prepared to deploy a potent directional charge towards the identified Ball python subject..HAHAA!!
