I'm assuming you think they are some sort of hybrid? That would be my guess. Should be interesting to see how they turn out.

They're Black Pines... The parents are very heavily patterned animals and these two show even more pattern than the parents - which makes sense.

There was some back and forth here on the forum about their purity when I first posted them - I dont think they're hybrids myself. I love them - hybrid or not.

Do you have any locality info on them? How about some pics of the parents. I'd like to see some "rough" looking lodingi.

I do not believe they are hybrids because they appear to be the same species - Pituophis melanoleucus. However, they may be intergrades between two subspecies, P.m.lodingii and P.m.melanoleucus. Would be interesting to see the parents. They could also be the offspring of intergrades, if, as you say, the parents had well-defined patterns. I doubt if they are "pure black pines" with that much pattern.
