dragonherp Oct 26, 2010 03:46 PM

We finally had some luck on our last double het clutch of the year...a male!!! Out of 7 double het clutches this year, we ended up with three visuals.

Both are AMAZING! Really loving the contrast on the ax stripe!

Big congrats. Producing Double homozygous recessives is a milestone. Can't wait to get there one day!

I was offered a pair of double het g. stripe axanthic but passed since I have never been a fan of axanthic, but may be I shouldn't.

I wonder what it will look like as it grow. Will it be really different than a normal g.stripe ? The Lightning pied holds it's color (meaning there is none ).

Congrats!
That genetic stripe is awesome.
Just when I was thinking of moving on from my axanthic projects you post that. Looks like I need to keep working with axanthics.

BackBeat Oct 26, 2010 11:35 PM

....I was thinking about Ax Stripes this afternoon. What might they look like?

Well, didn't take long to see what an Ax Stripe looks like.

And it is HOT!

That Hypo Clown is nothing to sneeze at either.

Congrats on both, and thanks for sharing them with all of us.

That Ax Stripe is too nice!!

Thanks everyone!!! We are really excited about the ax stripes...even more so that one of them is a male! A visual male is a HUGE HUGE HUGE step forward in the double het game. We have six different double het projects going with 3-4 adult females in each project so producing males is key.

The ax stripes are VPI line but I think any line would be fantastic in this cross. We'll post updated pics in a few days after they have shed.

LucaDG Oct 27, 2010 12:35 PM

Congrats!!! Amazing, now I need Ax het stripe or viceversa! All your fault! LoL

Not that the Hypo clown is bad...maybe would have had more success in a single post hehe.

Keep the pics coming!
