My jungle boa shed today after being in the blue for approximately 2 weeks. Upon completion of shedding today when I took him out I noticed a new light spot approximately 4-5 inches behind his head. It looks like a reverse-paradox type marking. Its as if someone went in and bleached some of his scales. This occurred on the lighter beige scales and even on some of the black pattern scales (although the black scales still have some dark pigment to them). There is no pattern to this new mark. It is approximately 1.5-2 inches in length and probably about a 1/2 inch wide.
Has anyone else ever had this happen? Is this a characteristic of the jungle trait? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Sorry I haven't figured out how to upload photos yet.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
