picky eater

SlayerGal Sep 26, 2003 02:31 AM

I've noticed Tenia, my Eyptian uro is increasingly picky about what she eats. She doesn't want to eat her greens at all, and only seems to be eating the lentils out of her dish and leaving everything else (hiding the lentils doesn't work). She's also very messy. Do others find their uro's to be messy eaters? I also find that she only eats every few days, and very small portions. Is this normal for juv's? I thought juvinile reptiles were suppose to be voracious eaters?

I had this same problem with my mali, try stating off with some peas with suppliments on them, i think in general uros love peas and its a great way to start a good eating pattern and put on a little weight, also have you tried any type of flowers? i have had great sucess with hibiscus and dandilions. just try different things until you find something your uro likes, then try to sneak in some of those greens. it may take a ilttle while but he'll probably come around.
