I used to think mojave x lesser was the way to go...best white and not related at all for sure....But I now think it was the wrong way for everyone to go....now mojaves are all looking lesserish and lessers will start to throw more mojave looking things in the future I bet.....

I want super mojaves....I want less white and more color...I know they won't be purple but I can hope for the best and the darkest I can get.....and the paradox gods to shine my way again...LOL....

......good luck...

cheapest...mojaves....
whitest...lesser mojo....

I agree with the previous post for the reasons he mentioned but I would also add that, from a breeding standpoint, I would rather have a super mojave (or lesser, butter, etc.) or better yet, one of each. That way when crossed with other mutations you don't have to guess what the babies are. It's easier to work with known genetics and predictable outcomes.
Super mojaves always give you mojaves...simple!

I agree 100%, less genetically complicated if you keep the different genes separated. Besides, I am a purist...

The mojave that look like lesser, and the lesser look like mojave are from ugly parents in my opinion.

I hatched out 3 bel this year from a nice lesser female to a good mojave het ghost male.
They are pure white, and comes yellowish when going in shed.

I also hatched a normal, a lesser and 2 mojave.
There is no way you can miss one as being the other.

To answer the question : If you want to create one cheap, super mojave will be the cheapest route, fallowed by lesser x mojave and lesser x lesser. The phantom stuff etc.... is different with the purple potion etc...

The problem with the BEL from mojave x lesser, are that you have to be careful on what you breed them to.
If you put a BEL (mojave x lesser) with a lesser, you will get more BEL, but you won't know if the BELs are lesser x lesser or mojave x lesser.
If you put them back with a mojave it's different, you will have either BELs (mojave x lesser) or super mojave (purple head).

The good thing in mojave x lesser BELs is that you can create more combos in the same clutch.

A BELs (mojave x lesser) into a pinstripe will get you nice kingpin and jigsaw ! etc.... etc....

I really need to find a pin ghost male for my 3 bels females to prove them out

i just saw something when you breed, you have to use a super mojave?? or can you use a normal mojave to a lesser. thanks for the help

Mojaves, butters, lessers, etc are "related" genes, members of the same "gene complex". That's why you can mix and match between them and come up with a the same result: a BEL. However, a super mojave is not completely white and many people don't call it a BEL anymore, just a Super Mojave. The super form of the other members of the gene complex (lessers, butters, etc) are also BELs. That said, you don't need a super mojave (or any other super form) to produce a BEL....the supers are BELs themselves. A mojave and a lesser will produce a BEL the same as two lessers together (or any other possible combination of members of this gene complex).
The cheapest way to produce a BEL would be mojave x mojave (if we consider a super mojave to be a BEL). The whitest BEL seems to be the Russo line Leucistic or White Diamond.
Hope I am making sense, it's VERY late and I am half asleep.

yes it all make sense thank you

Lessers and Mojaves are now hard to tell apart? What? Combining the two different alleles into a super form now makes the genes harder to tell apart? Double what? Mendel just rolled over in his grave.

Don't forget that an ivory is still considered a lucistic ball python last I herd. (If this is wrong, please explain why.) Cheapest=yellowbelly to yellowbelly. Whitest I think is the lesser pied.

You are right, but we are talking Blue Eyed Leucistics
