questionable eating habits of a leopard

alieliza Sep 26, 2003 08:31 AM

My boyfriend picked up an extremely healthy leopard gecko at a pet store around two months ago or so. When i say extremely healthy looking, i mean it is a very good size. very fat, well fed, just good looking. The man in the pet store said that she eats anything, and eats and eats.
well, that hasnt really been our experience. She will eat a few crickets every other day or so.... id say probably three or four, give or take. There is a small under tank heater and a heat lamp, so the temps arent a problem. She has a humid hide, and a regular hide. She is not impacted, shes been pooping and the substrate is the cage carpet.
if anyone has any advice it would be appreciated

Keep watching it and see if it loses weight. It's still eating, but if there is still a problem where you think it isn't eating enough, just post again. Good luck.
