cypress mulch and humidity and temps

rdm01 Nov 01, 2010 07:33 AM

Hi everyone!

I just added some cypress mulch with a little coconut husk fiber for my python.

The condensation on the bottom where the substrate rests is fairly noticeable.
The enclosure is a sterilite tub with holes in the sides and back. Is this because the mulch was just added in and it hasn't had time to dry?

Is this bad for the snake or normal?
Looks to me like its normal bI just want to make sure I'm not harming the snake.

Thanks!

If there's adequate airflow that'll dry in a day or so. Personally, I think *some* condensation on the bottom isn't a big deal. You don't want it up and down the sides and on the top but eh
