running into his glass

velcro Sep 26, 2003 09:36 AM

Anyone have any suggestions? My dragon seems to be very good at seeing reflections of his crix in his tank. He will run top speed off of his climbing log and run right into his glass. What can I do so that he doesn't continue to do this. It has to hurt. He looked a little stunned last night when he did it.

Try putting the display screens aroud the back and side so he can not see through the glass and possibly a small strip on the bottm of the front of the cage. Tortises have alot of problems trying to get through any thing they can see through, and this works great for our redfoot. He will be able to see that he cant get through and will be able to judge the crickets. scott

Buy some nice thick masking tape and put a strip all the way around the bottom of the sides of the tank. You can get it anywhere from 1 inch up to 3 inches wide. If you place it so that the seams of the tape are on the back side of the tank, it doesn't even look ugly LOL
