Fire grades...

I was browsing through KS and found some pictures of Fires. We all know that as breeders we should be focusing on quality verse quantity….much like Brian (FGS) has done with his Mojave’s (which are top notch in my book).

I’m pretty happy with the Fire I produced below. His colors still have me thinking that he’s got something else going on as I have yet to see a Fire in person with his color….nor pictures online. I’m really looking forward in breeding him back to his mother next year to hopefully produce even brighter Fire’s.

I could be on to something…..

Thanks for looking.

Question for Brain (FGS): how many generations are you now in with your Mojave line?

Pitoon,

Beautiful looking fire, it looks more like a desert.

This coming season I will hopefully produce gold blush mohaves from 2nd and 3rd generation parents.

This year's gold blush mojaves produced some of my best mojaves ever. As strange as it sounds some of the normals came out so nice that I'm even holding back several females.

Thank you for your comment about my gold blush mojaves, that was very kind of you.

Good luck with your 2011 season.

These are two nice Sulfurs from the past few years. One is pictured, one is in the link. The pictured has Calico look to it, but no Calico in it.

I think yours in pretty nice, above average maybe.

Fires are just really variable. I've seen clutches where every fire is different or...they kinda all look the same.

We've got ONE at the shop that is on par with the animal you posted, I held it back because it was sooo bright. But, its litter mates were only average fires.

Very nice animal btw!

I have a pair that are similar in coloration.

I really like the head pattern on my male where it connects at the back of the head. I have another female that is similar to this one but not quite as nice. When they were hatched they were "creamier" in color, it has faded as they have gotten older. The male is still really yellow for a fire and has nice blushing.

We got another line of fire that is amazing.
Lars Brandell at Sweball and Anders Sjöbäck at MA Reptiles imported this line from Africa...
(proven BEL this year)
Not the best pic but this was the best "real looking" color.
Here together with a "normal" ball =)
