My First Kingsnake

slitheringdead Nov 02, 2010 02:22 PM

He was definitely stressed from being shipped and from being in the middle of shed. He was a bit feisty... rattling his tail and tagging me once. After 5 days, i took this quick pic of him and plan to leave him alone for another 5 days. I think he's a real beauty.

Hah hah, no mate yet. I don't have any immediate plans to breed snakes. It could be a possibility a few years from now.

So far, i like the brooksi. He's really active and has a voracious appetite. I didn't want to handle him until this weekend, but he pooped 2 days in a row, so i had to put him in a separate tub while i cleaned his tub. He's mellowing out a little already. He doesn't rattle his tail as much and hasn't tried to strike me.

The more you handle him the calmer he'll be around you! Take him out and hug him and love him and snuggle him and .......just hold him, go on!
