Conversation from a snake home...

turtlejo Nov 03, 2010 04:54 PM

The following exchange took place between my wife and myself today via text message. I thought it was pretty funny. She... well, I'm glad she loves me and understands my sense of humor.

Jo: "I'll prob get a black milksnake first, but i think my next king will be a south georgia wide-banded."
Wife: "YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANOTHER SNAKE!! >"
Jo: "Then i think my next wife will be a blonde."

Jo: "You know i was kidding, right? I love you..."
Wife: "You're a pain. I love you. Get back to work."

There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity. The ignorant can be taught, stupidity is beyond our control.

kidding about the new blonde wife for sure- my amazing brunette wife is irreplaceable. and patient. and smoking hot.

only half joking about the south georgia kings- those critters are also smoking hot in their own (non-sexy) way. but i know better than to come home with one without having first discussed and approved its place in OUR home. snakes are some of the most amazing and beautiful things on this planet, but they tend to lack in several of the areas fulfilled by a loving spouse.

then again, a south georgia wide-banded AND an osceola-suwanee FL king might just be worth it.

Ok boys heres the deal.

What you do is set up a bunch of empty cages in your reptile room. Leave them empty. When you acquire things, just put them in the room and leave them. Even if she discovers the next day, tell her they have been there for months.

Works like a charm on my husband.

My advantage is he rarely goes in the reptile room, so I am perfectly safe on this one... I do all cleaning etc.. He did recently notice the feeding has gone from a cookie sheet to a 5 gallon bucket. Just told him I switched methods for feeding.

If I bought $30 snakes that would work, but my wife always notices big chunks of dinero missing from the bank account.....LOL

Plus she gets monetarily equal gifts for whatever I purchase.....
So....I've slowed WAY down......hehe

we actually have seperate bank accounts; we both work and have incidental expenses so it's easier to keept hings balanced out that way.

Its more of a "which one" question there Dougie. Of course I found out who it was very quickly after that text....but I have been told my humor is lost on some people. Oh well.
