Lizard Leashes

Does anybody use them for Collared lizards? Just wondering because taking Bart (used to be Jane) ouside to run around on the grass would also be a good way to get UVB.

Collareds are so small that I don't know if it would work. If you try it, try it inside first in case he gets loose. Let us know how it works, it would be a good way to get UVB, but you would be outside for a while.

I have a leash for mine. He let's me put it on but then he freezes because he feels like something is holding him. Also, the leash itself is light enough but they only make one size clasp which in many cases probably weighs more than the lizard. My Emerald can't hold it up and Bubba is really strong so he can, but it looks rediculous. I can try to get a pic with him wearing it if your up for a good laugh.

After kane got away in the backyard and we found out collared's are good runners, I got a lizard leash (small) Took me 20 min.to put on, Took kane 5 min.to get out of LOL, So I use to put him in the window between the screen and the glass (3-4 inchs), Now that we have five collared's next summer I'll just build a pen. - Jim
