Hi Red Hog

IMacBevan Nov 04, 2010 10:42 PM

My interest has been swinging towards hognose lately and after perusing the forums was reminded of a high red hog I had seen some years ago. This was a project being worked on by a friend of a friend breeder. I actually did see this snake in person and it was one of the most stunning hogs I have ever seen. It is truly that red in person if not slightly more brick colored than indicated in the picture. I dont recall what ssp it was now, though either southern or western is coming to mind. Unfortunately I have lost touch with the friend of a friend who had it in his collection. I want to say it was a father and son arrangement whom were both named Chuck and lived in the SoCal area.

Any ways, thought I would post the picture for others to comment/enjoy.

Ian

Pattern reminds me of some Georgia animals, but that color of some OK animals. Stunning looking Eastern! Do you know if that bloodline is still being produced? Or if they ever even bred the animal. Would love to know locality details....
