Polyzona Pics

gerryg Nov 05, 2010 04:21 PM

I'd intended to post a picture of my Black Milk first since she's been with me 5 years and should be first... but being heavy in blue atm she's not at her best so I'm going with an older picture of her... Thanks for having it available Nate

Next up are my two newest little babies... the male

and the female

These polyzona came from Scott Ballard and I can't thank him enough for them. For those of you that know him... I'm preaching to the choir... for those who don't... I can't say enough what a pleasure he was to deal with. He went out of his way time and time again to provide great info, pictures and answer questions in great detail. If you ever have the chance to acquire animals from him you won't be disappointed in any way... simply great... and if you're reading, Thanks again Scott... every bodies eaten except the female poly but she'll come around.

Good looking stuff, Gerry! Those Lago de Peten animals are always something to behold.

Very nice Poly'z there Gerry!. And yeah, Scott Ballard is a great guy to know, and very knowledgeable about Latin American milk ssp. for sure!. I always enjoy chatting with Scott whenever possible.

BTW, have you seen pics of his hypo polyzona?

In any case, have fun with your cool new poly'z!

Thanks for the kind words, sure I'll enjoy them as soon as I stop worrying about "do I have all escape routes covered, is the temperature all right for them and... well all those things.

Doug, I have seen the hypo but always having had a thing for red and black plus the heavy tipping of some milks the "normal" polyzona seemed the way to go. Only other thing I've seen that I really liked in the red and black motif was a Miramar locality BM. Wasn't like the ones I've always seen from the European specimens... white banding was gone and the red bands seemed to be overlaid with a translucent black, very cool looking BM. Have the picture of it somewhere just not sure where atm Might be something interesting to post here simply because I don't think it has been before... but I'm new, what do I know of the gone by years here.

Thanks again gents.

Gerry

Oh, I agree Gerry,...it's always great to have nice locality representatives of wild-phenotype polyzona........ black tipping and ALL!
