"Baby" Savannah Monitor Photos

reptileszz Nov 05, 2010 04:50 PM

Hi all, as promised here are a couple of pics of the stunted Sav that I recently took in. I had some luck today sealing off the top of the cage that was screen and removing one of the lamps. One "Solar Glo" bulb is in there now. Have it at 125 on the not spot and only down to 79 on the "cool" side. So far he has only been seen on the not side so hoping this is ok. All the heat is off at night so it dips to 75 throughout the cage at night. Possibly cooler under the hide. I have it at 79% humidity.

A leafs litter will be fine. The cage will be more secure with.
Can you put a little more soil in?
Think the temp are fine.

Hi there, is there any way to "sanitize" leaf litter? I dont want to introduce all sorts of little bugs in there.

Thank you,
Carole

There is no need to "sanitize" the leafs.
Let them dry a few days before introduce them in the cage and all is ok.
