first time hog owner posting some pics

adamjeffery Nov 07, 2010 01:06 AM

hey guys. i have never posted here before. some of you know me from the corn or ball forum. i recently got a pair of hogs in a trade and thought i would post pics. please let me know what you think. they are 08 animals and the female is a het albino the male is a nice yellow albino.
i really like these guys but i am a little worried about feeding babies in a couple years. i most likely wont get anymore unless they are double het snows. or until the snows and aneries are more affordable to me. the female is really nice and the pic doesnt really do her justice.
they both are really funny eaters. one week they will both eat great, the next one may not eat at all. then the other will eat and the other wont. they flip flop their habits. is this normal?
the male is 65 grams and the female is 80.

Hi Adam, Welcome to the hognose list. I think you will enjoy working with the hoggies, and that was a good pair with which to begin the adventure. It does take some time to get used to the feeding habits of hognose. Yours are quite normal with respect to eating. Judging by their weights, they were not pushed hard
in growth as youngsters. Don't be concerned about hatching some hognose.
