I really like how this little stocky yearling girl is turning out so far. She will certainly be of breeding size this coming season too along with a few other's from her clutch.

HAHA!!,...thanks man!, Your post had me cracking up!

Keep your eyes on the shiny gold watch, and repeat after me..... "you cannot fight the urge to go out and acquire some nice floridana,.........you cannot resist getting some nice floridana into your collection. When I snap my fingers, you will go out and get yourself some nice floridana"

HAHAA!,... I was giggling out loud while I was making the post too!..LOL!

Thanks bud!,...yes, she is really doing great bro!, and I can't get over how green she is. I had a feeling she was going to be different as a hatchling too, but didn't know to how, or to what extent.

Yeah, the one without the red is my guess.

This girl didn't have a single scale of red at ALL!, and was straight-up black and light greenish/butter-yellow. VEEERY different from the rest!.

pic shortly after she hatched......

pic of her now.......

You are an evil man. Last time I brought home a pair of brooksi, my wife said it was them or me. However, your post has left me in a strange trance. I need more brooksi! Perhaps I can come live at your place for while...

DMong Nov 07, 2010 07:36 PM

HAHAAA!!,...yeah, that was some funny stuff there man!...wooo!

How come she didn't like brooksi? Was it because of their stocky build and wanting to eat just about anything that moves?

I still can't figure out why she hated the brooksi so much. They were quite aggressive, but at that time I was also keeping albino bullsnakes and she never had a problem with those (as long as she didn't have to get too close to them). Perhaps she had some sort of prejudice, which is all the more reason for me to grab another pair. People need to get over their petty prejudices, right?

Nooo Dr. Evil Nooooo. I.... must....resist....

LMAO

If I weren't already committed to the purchase of a pair of beautiful YT cribos I know I would be unable to resist adding more kings.

It's killing me looking at the classifieds, floridianas, those smoking hot S. Ga. widebands OMFG the splendidas and thayeris, pyros, knobs ad infinitum.

Hey I've been wanting some Cribos for a looooong time. They're just so darn expensive! Have you had any success breeding them? Which ones are your favorites. I know some day I will have some. Oh YES, I will have some. It kills me cause I see indigos here and they are so heavily protected that I dare not mess with them. But I'd love to get the next best thing...Cribo! I have heard some are pretty vicious though, and at eight feet hmmm, I need to do my research, lol.

I'm just getting back into snakes after a hiatus of about 8 years. So my YT's are well started hatchlings I'm getting from Freight Freitas. I already have an unrelated pair of juvie BT's. I had couperi back in the late 70's early 80's I never had any success with breeding them. I ended up donating them to a local college's herp program. From what I know of Dry's they really aren't that aggressive but snakes are individuals. Besides I keep Pits so aggressive is all relative. LOL

Yeah, I had some W/C Florida Indigo's in the early 70's as a kid that were captured in southern Miami/Dade in the Homestead area, and they were docile as all heck!

But as mentioned, all snake's are individuals!

BTW, your previous post had me laughing again!
