I have searched the archives of this forum and read for hours and hours. It seems that Leos will randomly stop eating for periods. I understand they SLOW down even more often and sometimes brumate whether you want them to or not. My 45g female Leo has completely stopped eating for 6 days now. She may have a slight weight loss but seems to show basically the same activity level. I don't think she is impacted and she hasn't been exposed to a male so I don't think she is gravid. The cage temps have been consistant with the proper heat gradiant and mealies are available at all times. I offer crickets throughout the week with an occasional wax worm. This diet worked great until a week ago when she decided to go on the crash diet. Her legs appeared to shake a little today has she moved around. From my research, I gather this is one of signs of a low calcium diet. She has a calcium supplement in the cage and I have been dusting the food. If she doesn't eat, she doesn't get the supplement! If there were a good Vet in the area I would take her, but no such luck. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. How long can she survive like this without eating?
