alot of times it's the girls' fault....

keep waiting...you got 4 months...when the girl is ready it will all work.....

I had a male that I particularly want to breed ...would do nothing.....he ate...then he stopped eating even....
then ..one day...BAM!.....he has bred in a couple weeks 2 pastel ghosts and a spider het ghost.....good stuff coming.....!!!! and he just started.....

they get it done....

It's often the females as Jeff said. Two of the projects I was looking forward to most this season haven't locked up at all yet. If I put one of my stud males in with those females, there's still nothing happening, so it stands to reason that it's the females. Just keep trying, and if nothing happens, there's always next year.

It has been my experience that about 40% of yearling boys will breed. If they do breed -- they will breed like ROCK STARS!!!!

I produced a fantastic Sterling male in the spring of 08. He ate for 2 1/2 years, reached a weight of 1100 grams -- and just started breeding 2 weeks ago!!!! He has locked with 3 girls -- better late than never.lol I think he is going to rock and roll this year!!!

Some boys just don't breed that first year. The upside is those lazy/timid guys make up for the second year in almost all cases.

Be patient and give him time!!
