Possible Morph or not

EVanSciver Nov 09, 2010 01:10 PM

I picked up this guy from a local breeder. Sold as a normal, but as he got alittle bigger I started noticing some color variations. I'm new to ball pythons so can you let me know what this might be if anything. Thanks.

.....that last photo made me chuckle.

With all that we hear from the media concerning snakes (and specifically Pythons), a non-herper might surmise you have the swords to save yourself from a Ball Python attack. LMAO

BTW, that's just a nice normal.
That being said, He could still pass along his 'bright' look to Pastel or Mojave or Spider (etc etc) offspring.

Best of Luck!

OH MY GOSH!!!

ITS A BRIMSTONE!!!!
(just kidding) lol.

Who knows these days...your snake looks pretty subtle. Certainly above average color.
And a nice pattern too.
You will have to raise it up and breed, breed, breed!
ps...
I love your dental tools hanging on the wall in the background.

I had a normal that looked even more light than yours at that age. I have had him for 4 years. Just last year he started turning into the darkest of my normals.....so....you just never really know what you have when it comes to normals. Morphs are easier to identify when they are babies, but guessing what a normal MIGHT do in breeding projects, you just need to wait it out and see what the normal looks like as an adult before you can get a good idea what morphs bred into your normal might look like.
