Strange LTT

joecop Nov 09, 2010 07:24 PM

While we are on the subject of LTT---this little girl was saved from shovel death this year after receiving a phone call from a friend. She has a solid white belly (a couple specks) and high saddles.

That is fantastic it was saved from the ignorant end of a shovel!

Thanks Doug. Yeah, it was the guys mother who called me and she is scared to death of snakes. I am always going over and getting them out of her yard. Got a black rat out of her bird feeder last year that ate the whole bluebird family and then could not get back out of the hole. OOOPS.

LOL!,...yeah, typical Black Rat for ya!

Funny how LOTS of snakes get captured that way. They can initially squeeze through to gobble-up all they want, but getting away with it is a very different story!..

I'll bet the snake went...D'OH!!..HAHAA!

Joe I've hatched out several coastals with even cleaner bellies than that. Perhaps this is not as unusual as we think but one thing is for sure. That's a fine looking eastern there and the picture quality for a New England herper is nothing short of amazing.

It's interesting how such a diagnostic feature can just "go missing" on some individuals, isn't it?! Nice looking milk, either way. Male or female?

Thanks Cole. It's a little girl. No adams apple was the give-away. That is how you check isn't it? LOL.
