I posted this message in a thread, but it's so far down i don't think anyone will get to it, so here goes:

You mentioned Auratus females laying up to 22 eggs a week? How common is that?? I have a female hawaiian auratus who has only laid for me once, so i was wondering if i was doing something wrong-- she laid about three weeks ago, and hasn't done anything since. I'd love to be having up to 22 eggs a week though. That'd be so awesome. Keep in mind that this female that laid for me only once-- was my first clutch, i've been patiently waiting, but when i read your message, it tipped the scale.
Thanks
Kasey Lawrence

p.s.-- I have 2 Hawaiian Auratus sub-adult females that i don't need and i would be willing to trade or sell, so if anyone is interested let me know!

Hi,
This was not at all common. That was a huge female that for some reason laid gigantic clutches. Normally you'll find 3-10 eggs in clutches. No worries.
Best,
Justin

heh, no, it's a pretty rare thing. Closest I've came to that was a female pumilio laying clutches 3 days back to back. I wound up with a total 15 eggs in total (from those 3 clutches) and 6 made it to morphing. Funny thing is, she depositted a few of the tads in places that already had tads in them. I no longer have these pumilio nor any of their offspring (I wanted to get more experience with artficial rearing, so I traded the pair to quality captives for a group of vents and a pair of azureus). The froglets that morphed, 2 died and the other 4 I sold a while back. Hopefully, I'll get around to acquiring some more pums (bastimentos and blue jeans) in the next few months. All in all, give your auratus time and be very generous with feeding and they should reward you with hadfuls of froglets. Best of luck!
