Hi all

At what age can you tell if a savannah or black throat monitor is male or female?

Thanks

Jonas

Not nesasarly a matter of age or size...
even young male monitors can show large hem-pen bulges if hormones kiks inn.

many captives are late bloomers...being kept alone in mediocre conditions could be the reason...in fact I belive some monitors never exibit sexual dimorphism when highly stressed...subordination also prohibits hormonal changes.

a helthy monitor will show its gender days after hatching
