Hypo Motleys

mike_panic Nov 10, 2010 02:30 PM

This male was produced by Ray Bueno and the female was produced by Brian Gundy. Both wonderful snakes. They are starting to warm up to each other quite nicely. Thanks for looking. Mike Panichi

Truthfully, I could care less about the super. I need to prove out the female as a het albino and had all my other males tied up. The male is a het so I figured why not use him the prove her out and make a sunglow motley or two in the process if she is in fact a het. Thanks. Mike Panichi

I personally wouldn't do the breeding. I'd use a spare Albino or Hypo het or something sans Motley if I needed to prove her out. Then again though maybe you somehow manage to hit a super that can thrive?

As I type this I realize I really only have Jeremy's red devil to go off of? At least that I've heard of? No one else I know of anyways that's done Hypo Mot X Hypo Mot.

I'd really appreciate it if you'd keep me posted on what happens with this.. hope you get babies and a red devil that thrives!!

Little bit of a 180 from the start of my post.. lol

You know what Guy, I can't say I disagree with you thats for sure. However, all of my other lipstick albino males are already paired up and working. I was hoping to pick up a hypo blood poss het albino male that would have been ready to go this fall but the deal never really got done. That is what I really had in store for this girl. Anyway, there are some super motleys running around which have survived and are doing well. If all I get are more hypo motleys from this breeding........I'm happy. I personally think they are nice looking snakes. Anyway, have a good winter. Mike Panichi

hy,
as i am thinking of doing the same cross i am really interested in this discussion. as far as i have understood from this pair you should "normally" produce hipo motley, super hipo, super motley (then you can add the albino gene as a plus). not the red devil am i right?
but what about the "orange tail" hipo? have someone tried with this gene? does the orange tail hipo act like a "salmon" hipo?
thanks in advance for the reply
best wishes
alessandro
