air plants and veiled?

lele Sep 26, 2003 01:53 PM

Hi all, I know I am one of the plant "experts" here but wanted to get opinions. Do any of you find air plants a problem? Luna will eat anything green and I'd like to put some air plants in but want to know what others think - in case she tries to eat one. I know they aren't toxic but sort id spidery! Here is one that I have

Hi Lele
I use mounted epyphites with my chameleons with no issues.
I've used Oncidium Gower Ramsay, some tillies, and spanish moss. The chams like to hang out on the mounts, but don't bother them. As long as you're not using toxic plants, I don't think there's any issues if they're eaten.
Just my opinion, good luck with your 'Luna'!

Lele,

I use that same T. bulbosa. It is one of the better air plants for a veiled cage imho. I've had mine for 6 mos. It's growing slowly.
