I'm considering a JCP any thoughts sugestions

Dman Sep 26, 2003 02:17 PM

I started with a couple of corns about a year ago thanks to my daughter. Eventually I would like to get a GTP. From all the research I've been doing I think that A JCP would make an beautiful stepping stone to improve my husbandry skill. My logic:
1)They are more work than a corn but less than a GTP. (humidity etc...)
2)They are less expensive.
3)And they look great.

Although its a ways off yet one thing I'm in a dilema over is hoy it set up its adult housing is botherin me. Im figuring a 3x2x2 should be good but should I make the 3 feet the height or the lenght. I have read vairing opinions but the more the better.

Any links or suggested reading would also be apreciated. I've read a lot but knoweledge is power so more is better.

thx Derrick

I can see it now ... a beautiful adult JCP perched in an Animal Plastics #T5 cage, heated with a radiant heat panel. Eating a f/t medium rat.

Go for it.

personaly I like at least 3wx3tx2d it gives you more room for water bowls hides and shelves.. I like useing shelves adn branches the more vitical space you use the "larger" the cage becomes for the snake
