That is really a beautiful snake. Looks like it is eating well too.
Is it a 2010 hatchling? Will be neat to see its colors change as it grows.

That is definately an interesting snake! I like it a lot. Why do you call it a Miami? Was it found in the miami area? I ask because it doesn't really have the typical Miami colors. Not meant to be a put down, it's a very pretty snake, but Miami Corns usually are more gray.

King Snakes! Who can make a better mouse trap?
J Sierra
Yeah, it came out of a tree in homestead. Its about three miles from Everglades National Park. I dont keep corns but this one was to cool to let go. I do catch alot of corns with similar color down here also. The Miami phase corns are the grey ones. I only ment it came from Miami. Here is a pic from earlier this year. These were caught in the same area and there is a bunch of different colors. Also, there is some weird fused saddles in there too.

P/M sent. Very nice finds!
Is that a W/C striped corn? Looks like a butter stripe!

Those are probably yellow rat snakes.
Yeah, theres yellows, glades and corns in there. I took some friends from Arizona and California out hunting that day. They took a piar of Miami phase and a pair of Glades. The rest were released.

Looks like there are a couple in there with interesting broken patterns but not as much as the one you are keeping, he's awesome. It's illegal to capture and keep native snakes in NY so all I can do is find them and photograph them then let them be. No keepsies no matter how nice. Not that we have corns here anyways... thank goodness we don't or they'd be on the no no list to keep as pets, and our no no list is already long enough... On the tank full of snakes, what do you do with them after you take their pictures? Do you release them back where you found them?
