Any guesses on the sex?

I was thinking it is a female, but now Im not sure anymore. It is slightly above 1 ounce in weight.

Everytime I let it leave the cage for a walk, it will defecate and expose what I tried to show in the first picture. It is always a dark pink plump, but never really pops out (I thought it should pop out more if it was a hemipenis). So I was unsure if that could be only the cloaca or hemiclitoris. It usually gets like that when defecating and walks around a bit with the thing exposed.
At the base of the tail there are also 2 lateral pits/pores, that would resemble to a male, but seem small to me.

Maybe it is still young but I see a lot of adds with prasinus around the same size being sold as sexed.

There are a lot of pics to see:

This has been discussed already on other forums. But I have more thoughts. You ask for a guess, the thing is, there are only two choices to guess from, a male or a female. A guess would mean its one or the other.

Some will say, I guess its a male, others will guess it could be a female. All in all. A coin flip would work just as well and is proven.

Just don't flip the coin in the sand, where it could land on its edge.

The point is, you already know its either a male or a female. The reality is, the subject is in your hand and you can see, feel and manipulate it.

Prasinus are thin, which makes them amoung the easist to sex. Monitors are easily everted(popped) only like some snakes, both males and females evert(hemiclitoris for females, hemipene for males), only when sexually mature, they are different. Its not about if they evert.

Back to prasinus. They are really really easy, once you know the differences. Of course, certain conditions prolong the onset of sexual maturity and that can cause a problem.

So I guess its a male or a female. Some of your pics look male, others look female. But if it was in my hands, I could tell you in less then a minute, I would evert it, has I am very good at that. Cheers
