Has anyone ever had any breeding success without wintering their florida kings? Will they still breed in the spring if they are fed year round? Thanks

I used to live in Miami and winters were alot shorter and they always bred, I dont use artificial heat on my colubrids, i would say Yes.. now i get from Halloween to spring cool down
I haven't really done it, but from what I have heard from others here is that they stop feeding for a little while. I think they are in tune to the seasons and it is possible, but I think you'll have better results, if you at least cool them a little as well as stop feeding. Then resume feeding and introduce the pairs together. I'm sure others will chime in with first hand experience.

King Snakes! Who can make a better mouse trap?

I've had much better success breeding FL kings when providing a real brumation period. In years when I haven't brumated, or brumated with temps above 60, I've had poor fertility results.
Others seem to do fine without brumating.
