Virginia... and I'll say Spotsylvania for no other reason than I've been there.

I will guess Baltimore County Maryland.

...in all parts of their range but I'll guess York, PA (as good a guess as any).

Might as well put a ring in my nose and lead me around. But I like that guess.

Looks to me like one of those red phase emory ratsnakes from just south of Poteet Texas. I think they came from a natural crossing of a normal emory and a Mexican Milksnake. There have only been a couple of them ever recorded. A friend of mine told me he found one in his yard but, did not know what it was and fed it to a baby indigo that would only eat small snakes.

I'm going to go with something in northern/central virginia...like Hanover county VA.

GERRY! I guess you are the bride after all! This one was from Shanandoah Co, you beat out Dave by just 1 county! Most everyone was on track too! Band depth was similar to the NC one of Doug's. Even in this immature specimen the head is more pronounced. Red coloring is most typical of MD milks, NJ is more orange and VA usually more maroon. Thanks for playing!

joecop Nov 19, 2010 06:55 PM

Pretty cool. Well, I can get to Baltimore in 20 minutes and that part of VA in one hour, so I am glad to have nice milks close to me!!!

That is the last time I ever, EVER, listen to Joecop! """"

Well isn't that nice to come back home to... of course with my luck it means I'm probably pregnant also.
